September is National Preparedness Month, offering the ideal opportunity to assess your family’s readiness. This year’s theme, “Preparedness Starts at Home,” focuses on getting back to the essentials of preparedness. Since disasters, whether natural or man-made, canstrike anywhere, at any time, taking steps to prepare now will give you peace of mind later. Consider these tips.

USU Extension has a preparedness website that includes information about drought, earthquakes, floods, heat, landslides, wildfires, windstorms, winter weather, food and water storage, and general preparedness information.
